In pain right now? We'll fit you in today.
Call us first thing — we keep emergency appointments available every working day. £90 in-hours emergency appointment, or £300 out-of-hours, plus the cost of any treatment needed.
- Mon – Fri 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (closed 1–2 pm)
- Sat by appointment
- Sun closed
-
Same day, every working day
Emergency slots held back from the diary specifically so we can see you today.
-
£90, no surprise fees
Fixed emergency appointment fee. Any follow-up treatment is quoted before we begin.
-
Calm, attentive care
Anxious patients are very welcome. We'll explain everything before doing anything.
The six things we see most often.
If you're unsure, call us anyway. We'd rather hear from you and reassure you it can wait than miss something that shouldn't.
-
Severe toothache or sensitivity
Persistent throbbing pain, pain that wakes you at night, or sharp sensitivity that doesn't settle. Often a sign of infection or a deeper cavity.
-
Knocked-out tooth
Pick the tooth up by the crown (not the root), rinse gently with milk or saliva, and try to slot it back in its socket. Get to us within an hour.
-
Broken or chipped tooth
If a fragment is sharp, cover with sugar-free chewing gum or dental wax. Save the fragment in a sealed container — sometimes we can bond it back.
-
Lost crown, filling or bridge
Not always painful, but the exposed tooth weakens quickly. We'll re-cement where we can, or rebuild if the underlying tooth has fractured.
-
Abscess, swelling or bleeding
Facial swelling, a 'bubble' on the gum, taste of pus, or bleeding that won't stop — call us first thing. Severe spreading swelling needs A&E.
-
Soft-tissue injury
A bitten lip, cheek or tongue that keeps bleeding — apply gentle pressure with clean gauze for 15 minutes. Persistent bleeding after that? Call us.
Four simple steps for the first hour.
A short guide for the first hour. Don't worry about getting these perfect — the most important step is the phone call.

Right now
Call us on 020 3971 2000. Tell whoever answers what's happened — they'll triage and book you in the same day where possible.
- 02
Before you arrive
Take paracetamol or ibuprofen if you can (follow the packet dose). Avoid aspirin if anything is actively bleeding. Sip cold water for a swelling.
- 03
For a knocked-out tooth
Hold it by the crown, rinse briefly (milk if you have it), and try to push it back into the socket. If you can't, put it in a small container of milk — not water — and bring it with you.
- 04
If we're closed
For severe pain or trauma overnight, call NHS 111 — they'll direct you to an out-of-hours dental service. For uncontrolled bleeding, breathing difficulty, or rapidly spreading facial swelling, go to A&E.
£90
fixed during opening hours; out-of-hours emergency call-outs are £300
- Focused examination & pain assessment
- X-rays where clinically needed
- Pain relief or stabilising treatment
- A clear quote for anything further
Charged at our standard fees — and spreadable at 0% APR.
Anything beyond the emergency appointment itself (filling, root canal, extraction, antibiotics, etc.) is quoted in writing before we proceed. If you'd like to spread the cost, Chrysalis Finance offers 0% APR for up to 12 months.

Severe pain overnight, on a Sunday, or during a bank holiday — here's what to do. Out-of-hours emergency call-outs are £300 plus the cost of any treatment.
Call us first — 020 3971 2000
Even at midnight, on a Sunday, or during a bank holiday — our voicemail gives you a direct out-of-hours number for urgent dental issues. Try this before NHS 111; you'll usually reach someone who can actually help with the dental problem itself.
